Our state-of-the-art weighing system provides weights in 1kg increments:
The maximum allowed total mass of a fully loaded vehicle, including fuel, passengers, cargo, and accessories.
The total mass of the trailer when fully loaded, including any payload (Water, Kitchenware etc).
The mass supported by the trailer’s axles when it is attached to the towing vehicle.
The total mass of the GVM & GTM combined, including all cargo and passengers.
The weight exerted on the tow ball by the trailer when it is hitched to the towing vehicle.

Our Process
At WeighRV, we follow a thorough and precise process to ensure your vehicle and caravan are weighed accurately. Here’s how it works:
- Weigh Caravan Unhitched
first weigh the caravan while it is unhitched. This step helps us determine the Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM) by calculating the Gross Trailer Mass (GTM) and the Tow Ball Mass (TBM). This process provides a comprehensive overview of the weight distribution, front to rear and left to right, ensuring a stable drive and even weight distribution across the axle(s).
- Weigh Vehicle Unhitched
Next, we weigh your vehicle without the caravan attached. This step allows us to measure the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of your vehicle on its own, ensuring it remains within the legal limits when loaded with passengers and cargo.
- Weigh Vehicle Hitched
Lastly, we weigh your vehicle with the caravan hitched. This step helps us determine the GVM of the vehicle when hitched to the caravan, including the Tow Ball Mass exerted onto the vehicle's axles. With this updated GVM, we can calculate the Gross Combined Mass (GCM), representing the total weight of the car and caravan together.
